Since we’re back at work, it feels like the right moment to pause and reflect. At the start of 2025 we talked about intention. Choosing purpose over quick fixes and progress over perfection. Looking back, it was a year full of achievements, surprises that worked in our favour and plenty of moments that reminded us why we do what we do. 

 

This is not about dramatic resolutions. It is about direction, reflection and moving forward with far more intent, building on everything we accomplished last year.

 

Five Years of Building with Purpose  

2025 also marked a year of growth and milestones. In September Big Beard turned five. Five years of learning, adapting and building with moments of clarity sprinkled between the busy days. 

 

What made the milestone meaningful was the people behind it. The team who show up with curiosity and care. The clients who trust us with their brands. The families who support long days and focused nights. Growth like this does not happen by accident. It happens when effort is guided by intention even when things do not go exactly as planned.  

Innovation Built on Clear Intent 

A month later we launched Kimmy AI. It began with a simple question. How do we make website creation smarter faster and more accessible without losing quality or meaning? Who would have thought we would be launching our own AI website builder at AWS? Nathan did, of course. He’s always a dreamer, never short of reaching for the stars and thankfully so.  

 

A year ago we worked hybrid, sometimes from a designated office space at Nathan’s house. A year later we have our very own office in Durbanville. Do not get me wrong, I am not complaining. I am simply saying we started from the bottom now we are here.  

The Quiet Work Behind Real Progress 

Progress rarely arrives all at once. It appears in small wins, thoughtful adjustments and moments where persistence matters more than perfection. Some days moved quickly, others required space to pause rethink and return with sharper focus. 

 

Those pauses were not setbacks. They were reminders that growth with meaning requires attention, not just hustle. When intention leads the work, even the slow days count whether anyone notices or not.  

Stepping Forward with More Intention 

As we continue this new working year, we do so with clarity, lessons learned and a deeper understanding of what matters.  

 

This season is not about reinvention. It is about direction. About making decisions with purpose, building with meaning and growing with intent that does not fade when momentum slows. Every idea and solution is guided by one question. Does this genuinely serve our clients and the future we are creating?  

 

If the year before was about setting intention, this one is about living it. With focus. With care. With far more intent and maybe just a little less pretending we have it all figured out. We step into what comes next grounded in reflection and driven by purpose. Not chasing change for its own sake but shaping growth that lasts.
